
Gale was only 18 when she won a modelling competition in Perth. After modelling for a few years, Gale became famous in 1999, when she was chosen to appear as part of an advertising campaign from Omnitel which is now Vodafone Italy. She appeared in their ads until the year 2006. In 2003 she was chosen by the Australian Tourist Commission retained her as the 'face of Australia to Italy.' Gale appeared on the covers of Australian Marie Claire and Grazia. The actress has also been featured in Italian Maxim and Australian InStyle. Gale was prominent in the editorials of Australian Cosmopolitan, Vogue Italia, and Italian GQ. Gale is a runway performer at Milan Fashion Week for Mariella Marani and Angelo Marani as well as Gianfranco ferre, Genny & Gai Matiolo. Gale can also be a huge fan of numerous Australian designers like Colette Dinnigan, Kirrily Johnston Lisa Ho and Alex Perry. The year 2006 was the last time she served as moderator of the Australian awards on television, called the Logies. Gale retired from modelling runways in January 2008 following 15 years. The last time she walked the catwalk at the David Jones Winter Collection Launch in Sydney just two weeks after. Her final outfit was her Wonder Woman outfit she was to wear in the upcoming film Justice League of America. In March of 2011, Gale returned to the runway and closed Alex Perry's 2011 Melbourne Fashion Festival show. August 2011 marked Gale's 10-year anniversary at department shop David Jones, the longest -running fashion contract held in Australia. This same month Gale became an ambassador for L'Oreal Paris, joining Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Gwen Stefani. Gale appeared in a L'Oreal Shampoo commercial which aired in Australia, New Zealand, as well as Italy.
